About me..

I am from Belgium, from a small town near Leuven to be exact. I studied in Leuven and I have always been very proud of my home country, I consider myself lucky to be Belgian.
I did however always long to see the world, eat exotic meals, visit amazing places, live in a tropical paradise for a while, see far away sights, learn many languages.. So I did!
After a short Erasmus-stay in Oxford, and an internship in China, I moved to Tanzania - to stay there for 16 years in the end - and then to Chile. After 20 of the 40-something years, I returned home. And you can take that quite literally: I live in the same village (some hundred meters from my 3 brothers), I teach in my own old secondary school and I am in the middle of getting another Masters in Leuven..

A and C are my remarkably intelligent and tremendously beautiful
daughters, and since they were raised to be global citizens, they are now off on their own adventures, with the eldest choosing a college now.
I remain filled with many thoughts, some more useful and relevant than others, and I am still longing for more adventures.. you can read about them in my blog.
